The second-largest movie theatre chain in the United States is temporarily closing its doors after reopening in August.

On Sunday, Cineworld confirmed through Twitter that they will be temporarily closing their locations in the United States and the UK after the announcement that the new James Bond film, No Time to Die, was pushed to an April 2021 release date.

Again, the keyword here is "temporarily." As suggested by the above tweet, no final decisions on permanent closings have been made as of yet. According to the following tweet, employees were not notified before the story was sent to the media.

There are two Regal Cinemas locations in Michigan - Walled Lake and Lansing. There are approximately 536 Regal cinemas in the United States and 127 Cineworld theatres in the UK; about 45,000 jobs will be affected.

Luckily, the NCG Trillium Cinema in Grand Blanc will be opening this Friday with limited capacity.
