If you live anywhere near Mundy Township right now, you probably feel like you’re living inside a guessing game that nobody asked to play. One by one, perfectly good houses are being knocked down. Farmland that just grew summer crops is being ripped apart. And for what? Nobody will say, at least not clearly.

What Residents Want to Know

State lawmakers approved $261 million to buy up these properties for a so-called megasite, a massive patch of land west of Bishop Airport that’s supposed to attract some giant manufacturer. Lawmaker Calls for a Pause

Rep. Steve Carra says he’s had enough. He’s demanding a halt to demolitions out of what he calls 'disappointment and disgust.' And honestly, a lot of people around here agree. Just another neighborhood scraped off the map, and a community stuck waiting to find out if this megasite is real, or if all that destruction was for nothing. Residents simply want answers.
