Longtime Jester’s Owner George Has Died, Flint Community Mourning
I have known this amazing human being for more than a quarter of a century, and he has been the man behind one of Flint’s favorite spots for almost half a century.
Flint Community Mourning The Loss Of George From Jester’s
My heart broke while scrolling through Facebook when I saw the post from Jester’s. We are devastated to learn that George from Jester’s has passed away.

I can't even begin to express my sadness for the loss of a local business legend. I am going to miss his voice on his commercials, many of which I had the honor to produce.
George Spent More Than 40 Years Building A Flint Tradition
Our hearts go out to George's family, friends and patrons who will never forget him invited them to "Get to Jester's Lounge on Center Road at Richfield just two and a half miles north of 69. And remember... think before you drink."

Here is what was shared by heartbroken crew at Jester's via their Facebook page:
It is with the heaviest heart that I share this…
Today, the Flint community lost a legend. We lost George. A husband, father, uncle, friend, owner of The New Jesters for 42 years, and owner of Mr. G’s Nightclub.
George was more than a business owner. He was the smile behind the bar, the laugh across the room, the handshake at the door, and the guy who made people feel like family the second they walked in.
One of the most common questions at Jesters was always, ‘Where’s George?’ because he was always there. Talking with customers, helping staff, fixing something, making people laugh and smile, or simply making sure everyone was okay.
For 42 years, George gave his heart to Jesters and his community. He truly loved his customers. You gave him purpose, memories, stories to tell, and a reason to keep showing up every single day. Jesters was never just a bar to him, it was his second home. All of you became part of his extended family.
We’re going to miss hearing those familiar radio commercials, ‘Hey everybody, this is George from Jesters!’ followed by the words he always preached, ‘Please, think when you drink!’
Thank you all for loving George the way he loved all of you.
Please keep our family, friends, staff, and everyone who loved him in your prayers as we try to navigate this unimaginable loss.
