Here’s a Popular, New Bakery from Bay City to Freeland, MI with Love

One of the best things around Bay City, Saginaw and Midland, MI is seeing a local business grow.

That's what's happening for a Bay City favorite, Barney's BakeHouse Bakery.

A popular Bay City bakery is expanding in the Tri-Cities.

Barney's BakeHouse Bakery was created by pastry chef, Jarrid Weighman, in 2013 as BakeHouse Bakery, according to WNEM-TV 5.

But how did the business get its current name? It merged with another family's baking business, Barney's Bakery (which started in 1921).

Business is booming. So, you've gotta give the people what they want.

More baked tastiness is now available in Freeland, MI. By more, we mean everything you can imagine.

Muffins, cannoli, pastries, donuts, breads of all kinds, cookies, hot dog & hamburger buns and specialty breads like Jalapeno Cheddar (yum).

It's not a dine in place, but they do have other items too. Like giant, fresh salads.

Barney's BakeHouse Bakery Locations

The original location is 421 S van Buren Street in Bay City, MI.

Their second, and new, location is at 218 N Main Street in Freeland not far from Dollar General and across the street from Freeland Cove Apartments.

Don't worry, if someone in your circle doesn't like sweet stuff... they have a whole line of savory baked goods, too.

Their menu features several pasties, croisssants, quiche and special seasonal items, too.
