Michigan’s Queen, George HW Bush, + Others Get Honorary Degrees [VIDEO]
The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin was honored on Thursday with a doctor of arts degree from Harvard University. The Michigan luminary was among a group of nine people who received honorary degrees, including Former President George HW Bush, and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
The 72-year-old Franklin accompanied herself on piano, performing (in my opinion) an absolutely beautiful rendition of the national anthem.
