Another Detroit, Michigan House Belonging to Aretha Franklin Hits the Market for Below $1M
More than four years after her death in 2018, another Detroit home belonging to Aretha Franklin has been listed for $975,000.
The home located on the Detroit Golf Club has had some renovations, but still needs a bit of TLC, according to the listing.
Listed as Having Plenty of Potential
The 7,000-square-foot fixer-upper has "plenty of potential," situated on just over a half acre of land. It has six bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and one-half bath. The basement is partially finished and there's a three-car garage.
The home is available on a land contract, according to Arlita Harvey of Alite Realty in Detroit. It hit the market earlier this year for $1.2 million with a recent price drop after a sale fell through during the summer.
Take a Look at the Home's Solid Exterior
At the moment, there are only a handful of exterior photos of the Queen of Soul's Detroit Golf Club home built in 1927. We'll update the gallery below as more pictures become available.
Franklin passed away in August of 2018 after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. She was just 76 years old.
Aretha Franklin's beautiful Bloomfield Hills home sold earlier this year, fetching $1.3 million. The 4,200-square-foot home featured six bedrooms and five-and-a-half baths along with numerous amenities like a sauna, pool, tennis court, and finished basement.
