Watch The Lake Effect Snow On November 12th, 2019 From Space
This year, lake effect snow is ramping up earlier than normal due to the below-average temperatures that we have been experiencing this November.
And this was quite evident on November 12th when cold arctic air pushed down from the north and created lake effect bands of snow that pretty much hung out along the lakeshore for most of the day.
The video is made from a series of images taken by satellite on November 12th, 2019 between the hours of 2:30 pm to 11:40 pm and were provided by the Regional and Mesoscale Meteorology Branch and the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere at Colorado State University.
