Voices for Children Advocacy Center now has 4,000 more square feet to help children in need.

Voices for Children Advocacy Center in Flint serves thousands of children and their families each year. With a never-ending need for their help, the center needed more room to fulfill the needs of the children in our area. On Thursday, Voices for Children officially opened the new wing of their building.

The new 4,000 square foot addition includes new meeting spaces, office spaces, an additional forensic interview room, an observation room, and four dedicated therapy rooms. This much-needed space will allow Voices for Children to really help the children in need in our community.

Having personally experienced the services they provide and having seen behind the scenes of what they do there, I could not be happier that the staff has the new addition. Voices for Children provides a number of services to abused children and their families including therapy, victim and family advocacy, forensic interviews, medical exams, and crisis counseling. The staff at Voices are the first people that children see after being taken out of a bad situation and the staff goes to work to not only find out what happened but also comfort and support them.

It’s not a good thing that the expansion is needed; that more and more children in our community are facing abuse, neglect, and human trafficking. What is good is the way this community has supported this necessary addition with time, talent, and treasure. We are grateful for our many supporters who have made this expansion possible.” said President & CEO Claudnyse D. Holloman.

Having seen the new facilities first hand, these pictures don't do it justice. This new area is going to help so many children get through the hardest times in their life!
