UPDATE: Permanent Lights Coming to Flint’s Buckham Alley

Thanks to Friends of the Alley, Buckham Alley will now have permanent decorative lighting installed. Nice job, everybody!

We first posted this story back in March, when the non-profit organization was raising funds to install the lighting. The campaign ended just a few days ago, and the organization successfully raised $50,000 which will be matched by state grants.

The fundraiser began with a large donation from Diplomat Pharmacy. After that, donations came in from other states as far away as California. A fundraiser was also held at the infamous Torch Bar & Grill.
