The decision comes after a much-needed public outcry. Good!

We brought this to you on Monday - it was reported that the Pentagon had ordered the California National Guard to demand repayment of bonuses from soldiers that were enlisted during wartime.

It had been found, through an audit, that bonuses and student loan payments were given out to individuals who didn't qualify for them, in an attempt to meet a required quota. Some soldiers had to refinance their homes to repay, others filed appeals. Either way, the country screamed from the rooftops about this...and it was heard.

Defense Secretary Ash Carter has ordered the California National Guard to stop seeking payment from soldiers. President Obama had said that they should not "nickel and dime" service members, who are the real victims here.

They hope to have this resolved by July 1st.
