Don't forget to play the lottery this week as two monster jackpots climb up to nearly $1 billion combined. Now that would be an awesome way to kick off the new year.

I've been closely watching (and playing) the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots for weeks as there hasn't been a grand prize winner in a long time.

If someone wins tonight's Mega Millions jackpot, they would be winning the 10th biggest jackpot in its history as it's sitting right now at $447 million. It's actually the biggest jackpot since June of 2019. Tonight's jackpot is set for 11 pm.

The Powerball jackpot isn't looking too shabby either as it sits at $410 million. The next drawing is tomorrow night at 10:59 pm.

According to WOOD TV8, The odds of a single ticket winning either jackpot are long — 1 in 302 million for Mega Millions and 1 in 293 million for Powerball. The overall chance of winning any prize is 1 in 24.87.

My normal game of choice is Michigan's Fantasy 5 but that's only at $210,000 at the moment, so right now so I'll focus my energy on the big boys.

I know there's no chance in hell that'll I'll ever win the lottery and my friends give me crap for playing all the time but I think it's exciting. It's just fun to sit around thinking about what you would do with all that money.
