Tuesday Tails: Meet Sparky the Cockatiel
Each week we're showcasing one of the adorable animals looking for their "furever" home at the Humane Society of Genesee County
This week we've "gone to the birds",...literally. Meet the cutest feathered friend you will ever meet. Sparky is a 7 year old Cockatiel with a great personality. He finds himself suddenly without a home due to his owners health, and would love someone new to love. He is quiet the handsome fella too, with gorgeous markings and color. Birds do require special care when it comes to cleaning the cage, but make a perfect pet for someone that may not be home all day.
Sparky is one of just a few animals available at the Humane Society of Genesee County that is not the traditional dog or cat. There are other birds, guinea pigs, and bunnies too, all looking for their new home filled with love.
If you are interested in giving double love to Sparky, or another animal looking for a home, contact the Humane Society of Genesee County at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also call to schedule an appointment at (810) 744-0511. Due to COVID-19 the Humane Society of Genesee County is operating on an appointment bases only, but encourages those interested to schedule a meet & greet. If you are considering adding a four legged baby to your household, please always look to adopt, especially senior animals.
