Mark this down as the ONE TIME I can get behind Eric Mays.

The Flint City Council voted 6-0 at a meeting on September 23rd to the (stay with me here) "first reading of an ordinance amendment that would prohibit businesses from selling, manufacturing or processing marijuana for recreational purposes within city limits."

In regular-people terms, that would mean that stores in Flint would not be able to sell marijuana for recreational use.

Eric Mays voted for it, but then said that he wanted to dissent.

Pardon me but I'm a little confused - didn't we just vote to legalize recreational marijuana? I'm perplexed, then, as to why all of these cities are choosing to go against it. Yes, I know that legally, they can, but should they?
