Didn't run the 10-mile Crim yesterday? Come run it with me, without getting off the couch!

"I mean, she's been gone a lot. I guess she's been running. All I know is that she hasn't been home to make me dinner," said her husband Pat.

Well, isn't that some pretty crummy luck?!

This run, in the extreme heat, was literally the second hardest thing I've done in my life, next to childbirth.

Four words that I never, ever thought I'd say: I'm running The Crim!

The New Year's Resolution 8k run and 5k walk will take place on Saturday, December 31st at 2:00 pm at the downtown Flint YMCA at 411 East 3rd Street. If your goal is to be fit and active in 2012, why not start a little early? 8k (kilometers) is just under 5 miles, 5k is just over 3 miles, both distances are very doable even if you haven't been training.

The 1st annual YMCA Santa Run attracted a stampede of 800 Santas last year. I was one of the Ho-ho-ho herd, and am pretty excited to do it again this Saturday (Dec. 3). The YMCA of Greater Flint Santa Run/Walk is a charity event featuring a 5k and 1 mile route around downtown Flint. The event is not timed and is open to everyone. Run, walk, bring your family and friends. Strollers are welcome
