If you're in the mood for corned beef today, Catholic Charities has you covered.

One of the best things about St. Patrick's Day is the food. Unfortunately, it might be a little bit harder to come by this year with the shutdowns and limited capacities in Michigan. However, Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties is making it easy for you to get some grub today.

Stop by Catholic Charities today from 10 am until 1 pm for their annual fundraiser. They will be offering St. Patrick's Day boxed lunches that contain a corned beef and swiss on rye sandwich, chips, coleslaw, a pickle, and a treat. The best part is that it will only cost you $8 for your St. Patrick's Day lunch fix. The fundraiser is a drive-thru pickup in front of Catholic Charities at 901 Chippewa Street right behind St. Michael Parish.

Catholic Charities’ St. Patrick’s Day Sale has been a tradition for many years in our community. Whether they are Irish or not, people look forward to the delicious corned beef sandwiches and homemade coleslaw, as well as helping a good cause...The event is close to our hearts here at Catholic Charities because our campus is in the former St. Michaels School, across the street from St. Michaels Church which dates to 1834, when five Irish Catholic families began holding prayer services on the site. It seems only fitting that we celebrate St. Patrick’s day!...said Vicky Schultz, President and CEO of Catholic Charities.

All the proceeds from this boxed lunch sale will benefit the meal programs at the Center of Hope Soup Kitchen, the North End Soup Kitchen, and the South Flint Soup Kitchen through Catholic Charities.
