What exactly does "feminine" look like?

Sunnie Kahle, 8, is a tom boy. She likes to collect baseball bats, autographed balls and hunting knives. She also likes stuffed animals and jewelry. She likes to get dirty and wear jeans and t-shirts. The litle girl also prefers her hair short but as her grandmother explains, "Sunnie realizes she's a female but she wants to do boy things."

Administrators at Timberlake Christian School, where Sunnie attends classes, says that her tom boyish mannerisms aren't appropriate for their curriculum. A letter sent to Sunnie's grandmother and legal guardian reads in part, "We believe that unless Sunnie as well as her family clearly understand that God has made her a female and her dress and behavior need to follow suit with her God ordained identity, that TCS is not the best place for her future education."

The eight year-old girl is sad and upset that she can't see her friends at school anymore.

Tell us what you think. Should school administrators decide who's feminine enough to attend their classes?

Meet Sunnie and her grandparents in the video below, from WSET/CNN.
