Saginaw Police Rescue Woman From Freezing Ice – The Good News
In case you ever wondered why police officers ride in their cars with their windows cracked, regardless of the weather...
The incident happened around 4 AM on Sunday. Officer Stacer and Officer Englehart were on patrol when they heard screaming. They followed it to a bridge, where they saw a woman balled up in a fetal position on the ice.
The officers were able to rescue her. She was intoxicated and had fallen onto the ice, where she was dangerously close to hypothermia. The temperature at the time was one degree. Had it not been the for the officers, she would've died.
AMAZING work. Thanks for cruising with your windows down when it's freezing outside - it obviously pays off.
