Red Wings Players Volunteer in Flint – The Good News [VIDEO]
The forwards helped to pick up trash on the Flint River Trail yesterday.
Wrong sticks, guys!
Detroit Red Wings forwards Darren Helm and Drew Miller volunteered with the United Way Americorps yesterday to help clean up the trail. Miller, who is a Michigan native, told ABC 12 that there's a "lot of great people here trying to make the city great again. And it's small projects like this that go a long way.”
They're on their way to training camp, and decided to make a stop in Flint.
"Support our fans. It's not just Detroit fans, it's the whole state of Michigan. So to go to surrounding cities and give back to communities is big for us.”
Their first game is on October 13th in Tampa Bay. Thanks, guys!
