Oxygen Masks for Pets Donated to Grand Blanc Fire Department – The Good News
Anonymous donations are my favorite - gifts from a person so selfless that they don't even want recognition.
The Grand Blanc Township Fire Department posted this to their Facebook yesterday:
Thanks to a desire to help pets affected by smoke in fires and some crowd funding, a resident delivered to us two brand new pet oxygen masks today. A Grand Blanc Township resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, has provided us with these mask sets allowing us to replace the one aging set that we had from 2007. We will now have a pet oxygen mask on both of our front line engines.
You may recall a recent fire in Flint Township where their two dogs were saved by providing oxygen to them via their pet masks. That family is related to the resident who organized this gift donation. She wanted to ensure that we had the tools to provide help to our four pawed friends.
We are very grateful for this donation. Thank you to all who were involved.
