Big thanks to the NFL and the Detroit Lions!

The Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village in Flint is getting a HUGE upgrade - they've received a $250,000 grant from the NFL's Grassroots Program and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC).

The grant will be used to create a new, state-of-the-art practice turf that they can scrimmage on.

Mayor Sheldon Neeley, Executive Director of Sylvester Broome Maryum Rasool, former Detroit Lions player Lomas Brown, and Sylvester Broome Chairman Dr. Jawad Shah were all on-hand to receive the donation.
