Muskegon Woman With 37 Dogs Charged with Animal Cruelty
The dogs were found in cages stacked on top of each other.
77-year-old Linda McDonald is being charged with animal cruelty by the city of Muskegon Heights after authorities rescued 37 dogs from her property.
The sheriff said that the dogs didn't have food or water and were covered in bugs, urine and feces.
This isn't the first time that McDonald has had the police called on her - she was charged last month with animal cruelty as well.
A lot of the dogs were/are pregnant and sick. A good portion of them have been taken to Pound Buddies in Muskegon.
Normally, I would say that it's sad that a senior citizen can't take care of their companion animals, but this seems like just plain cruelty and breeding.
