MTV VMA’s Worst Dressed

I think everyone remembers the infamous meat dress Lady Gaga decided to wear last year at the MTV VMA's. I think she changed outfits four or five times and she actually had this on when she accepted Best Video of the Year. The dress is horrible and I don't know why she thought this was a good idea. I would say she was the worst dressed at the show and she probably knew it. No one would put on a meat dress actually thinking it was a good fashion choice.

Lady Gaga wins again with one of the worst dressed outfits at the MTV VMA's in 2009. This was actually her outfit she wore to an after party. I really don't get the head piece and it looks like it would really hurt wearing that. She is still trying to be the next Madonna by trying to shock everyone with her bizarre and quirky traits.

Even when an artist is on stage performing, sometimes I wonder what they were thinking when they chose a particular piece of clothing. Rihanna is such a talented artist but I wasn't a fan of this outfit. She's on stage singing at the MTV VMA's in 2008 so I'm going to give her worst dressed artist during the performance.

I really don't get the whole blood over face look at all. Good for them for wearing what appears to be a tuxedo but that's all I can say about this. They get worst dressed on the red carpet in 2001 where the MTV VMA's took place at the Metropolitan Opera House.

We all know Pamela Anderson usually wears some tacky outfits, but I can't get over her big giant pink hat. Does she know that everyone around her is probably annoyed they can't see the stage because this hat takes over? When she looked in the mirror, what was she thinking? Here she is with Carson Daly introducing the Back Street Boys at the 1999 MTV VMA's.

Once again Cher comes dressed for the occasion. I get that she was trying to relive that outfit she wore many many years ago but seriously? I'm going to give her the worst dressed presenter award because her choice is awful. She chose to wear this while presenting Video of the Year at the 2010 MTV VMA's.

Here is Perez Hilton at the 2009 MTV VMA's. Now you can't tell since he's sitting down but he also has on yellow gloves and boots with hot pink shorts. Just the jacket alone is frightening but for some reason he decided it was a good choice for the evening. Who told him he looked good when he was getting dressed?

2009 seemed to be the year of some very ugly outfits. I figured I would point out Kanye West and Amber Rose at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. I don't think I like the leather short sleeve shirt accompanied with the angry look he's got going on. Although I'm digging the Jack Daniels bottle he's carrying with him. And the one piece Amber Rose decided to wear was again awful. Did she actually think a one piece tight ensemble would look good? At least wear something darker so you can't see through it. Again, when she looked in the mirror, did she actually think she looked good? The pair will get worst dressed couple of the evening.

I figured I would step back in time to the 80's and found this fabulous photo of Steven Tyler from the 1987 MTV VMA Awards show. My favorite part about this outfit is the mesh purple leggings. He hasn't really changed his crazy style over the years but too bad he didn't have his feather earrings on when he chose this particular style. The outfit is probably a perfect fit for the 80's, but I never understand what goes on in their hand while they're getting ready for the event.

Paris Hilton was a presenter along with Nick Lachey during the 2004 MTV VMA's. Her dress has too many feathers on the bottom and the top of the dress doesn't look great either. But Paris will wear anything to draw attention to herself. She had this on when she arrived on the red carpet and I was hoping she would have changed her dress to present the award. She gets worst dressed on the red carpet and on stage. Again, just because you are a celebrity, doesn't mean everything you wear will look good.
