There's a New Talk Show Host in Town

Singer John Mayer is ready to be the next Jimmy Fallon. Mayer is nearing a deal to host a new late night talk show on Paramount Plus. Reports say the new show would be titles Later with John Mayer and feature performances, and interviews. Wonder if es Taylor Swift will stop by? Check out all the details here. 

MTV Movie & TV Awards 2021

Leslie Jones is on tap to host this years MTV Movie & TV Awards. The comedian will emcee the two night event starting on Sunday, May 16th live from Los Angeles. The first night will be dedicated to movies and tv, with the second night be the new MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted which will be all about reality television. Read more here. 

Justin Bieber Hair Controversy

Justin Bieber is getting blasted....because of his hair. The singer took to Instagram a few days ago to debut the return of his dreadlocks. The pictures brought an onslaught of comments stating cultural appropriation and racial insensitivity. According to reports, on social media some Black women called Bieber's hairstyle offensive and disrespectful and urged him to change it and apologize. Read the full details here.

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.
