Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan announced a significant jump in tuition fees for the fall semester. MCC's Board of Trustees approved an increase of 9.5%, which amounts to about $243 more per student. Last year the increase leaped 11.7%. Those are big jumps by any standard.Shrinking state aid and unprecedented losses in property taxes have left a budget gap of more than $2 million dollars. Mott has more than 13,000 students affected by the increase. College students must be wondering where it will end. .
