Miguel Cabrera surprised everyone, including his teammates, when he declined the bonus playoff money offered by the Tigers.

Why would he do that?  Simple, Cabrera says he only cares about winning the World Series.

How beautiful is that?!  The reigning MVP, and one of the best guys in the game, declares that a championship is more important than money!

Pardon me while I wipe the tear from my eye.

People have said all year that this Tigers team isn't as talented as the last couple of years, but this team has something different about it.  I've said all year that this team has a chemistry about them, that previous teams have not.  Maybe I'm a blind homer here, but I really do believe that this is the year.

For those of you worried about Miggy's wallet, don't.  Cabrera makes $22 million this year and next, $28 million for 2016 and 2017, $30 million every year from 2018-21, and $32 million in 2022 and 2023.  Plus, he can still opt into the playoff bonus later in their run if he decides to.

Not to mention, I bet he made a few gold doubloons to do this commercial.

Let's hope that this is a preview of what Miggy is about to do to the Orioles for a second time around!
