Michigan State Police: Littering With PPE Can Get You Fined
Common sense is NOT prevailing, apparently.
You've probably seen it if you've been out shopping - masks, gloves and other PPE (personal protective equipment) items tossed in the parking lot, on sidewalks and, in some cases, RIGHT NEXT TO TRASH CANS.
Not only is this unsafe and not sanitary, but it's also illegal and could cost you upwards of $200.
The Michigan State Police tweeted about this, reminding us all that littering is a crime with penalties of up to $225. Fines are determined by every municipality separately.
