Michigan Lottery Winner Cut From Food Assistance

Just a few days ago we talked about the woman from Lincoln Park who was still collecting welfare, even after winning $1 million in the lottery. Now she's actually been cut from food assistance after the Michigan Department of Human Services found out about it.

The woman didn't think she was breaking any laws and didn't think it was a big deal. This is the second person in the state to get the attention of winning the lottery and still collecting food stamps.

Now lawmakers are working on blocking lottery winners from receiving food stamp benefits. Action could be taken in congress as early as next week.
