A news conference is scheduled at City Hall today at 11 AM.

The Flint Garbage Crisis has reached yet another milestone: Mayor Karen Weaver has announced that the city will end its 90-day extended contract with Republic Services. At this point, it's not clear who will be taking over the trash collection in the city.

In July, the city council voted 8-1 to give Republic a three year contract at a cost of $11.5 million. Mayor Weaver vetoed this, as she is in favor of Rizzo Environmental Services.

There's a press conference scheduled for 11 AM at City Hall; we'll keep you up to date as we have more information.
