Kroger Replacing Scenic Inn with Gas Station in Grand Blanc

Another gas station is coming to Grand Blanc. Sounds exciting, doesn't it?

Last night, the Grand Blanc Township Planning Commission approved a project that involves tearing down the Scenic Inn on Saginaw Street and replacing it with a Kroger gas station.

The Grand Blanc View posted the news on their Facebook page last night, and the reviews were mixed.

I have questions: why is this going to be miles away from an actual Kroger store, whereas most other Kroger gas stations are located in the same lot?

And WHO IS GOING TO WELCOME EVERYBODY TO THE REN FEST ON THEIR SIGN AFTER THEY TEAR DOWN THE SCENIC INN?!?!

Forgive my lack of excitement; I'd just love to see something other than a gas station.
