Campaign To Make Glasses Out Of Recycled Flint Water Bottles

For all of those people who are concerned about the recycling of plastic bottles here in Flint...

...here's a great way to contribute to a product that will create local jobs AND recycle quite a few of those water bottles.

Genusee eyewear is made right here in Flint, so not only does it create jobs, but the glasses are made out of recycled water bottles. 15 bottles are recycled with every pair - with a prescription or without.

Every pair includes a plano or prescription single-vision polycarbonate lens or CR-39 tinted sun lens or readers, and are anti-reflective and UV protective.

Of course, with this being a kickstarter campaign, they have to reach a certain goal before they can go into production. As of today, they're halfway to their $50K goal with 18 days left.
