I'm not sure if you remember Fenton girl Katie Wyatt, who recently passed away from a rare form of cancer, but she wanted to make sure people in her community continued to help others who have been diagnosed with this horrible disease. You can help by attending a golf outing at Fenton Farms Golf Club on Monday, July 25, where proceeds will go towards the Rainbow Connection, an organization who grants wishes to terminally ill children.

This was Katie's charity of choice in addition to the memorial foundation scholarship fund that has been set up for Fenton high school graduates and helping a local family that has a child with cancer. Fenton Farms Golf Club wanted to be part of this first annual golf outing, but they're still looking for donations.

The committee is looking for a few more teams to play, as well as hole, photo and golf cart sponsors. The outing includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, entertainment, door prizes and more. You can also be a part of the diamond dig which will be hosted by Sawyer Jewelers.

The Fenton community has been very involved and continues to look for more help and support with Katie's Game event. For more details and to get involved, call Sawyer Jewelers at (810) 629-7936.
