Jean Kasem: Husband Casey ‘Very Near His End of Life’ [VIDEO]

Radio icon Casey Kasem is "very near his end of life," actress Jean Kasem told KIRO-TV in Seattle. (First video below) His wife of 34 years has been embroiled in a feud with Kasem's daughter from his first marriage, Kerri Kasem.

As the Michigan native was being removed from a friend's home on Sunday, Jean Kasem is believed to be seen throwing meat at her stepdaughter. (Second video below) Kasem was transferred by ambulance to St. Anthony Hospital in Seattle.

The radio host's wife was admonished by a judge on Monday for allegedly playing a cellphone recording of her husband moaning -- which she claimed was a reaction to the court's decision to grant Kerri Kasem some control over her father's care. The judge then warned Mrs. Kasem that if she does such a thing again, action could be taken against her.

Kerri Kasem claims that her 82-year-old father is suffering from bedsores, as well as lung and bladder infections. The court ruled that a doctor of her choosing would be allowed to examine Casey.

Kasem's radio career began in Flint, before becoming the host of the syndicated radio show 'American Top 40' in 1970.
