The auction, which is slated to begin on March 17 in Beverly Hills, Ca, is said to include many personal items owned by the radio hosts as well as Jean Kasem's wedding dress and Cheers memorabilia collected while playing the role of Loretta Tortelli on the TV show.

Notable Auction Items

Among the many items featured in the auction is Casey's German-made Neumann U-87 microphone which he used to voice American Top 40.

There is also an extensive record collection and signed memorabilia from various music legends who Casey admired.

Kerri Kasem Expresses Disdain

Kerri Kasem is the daughter of the legendary radio host, whose career began in Flint, Michigan. She's well known for her work fighting elder abuse, advocating for legislation here in Michigan.

Kasem blasted her father's widow and the auction house that will facilitate the auction in a Facebook post.

"My father‘s wife is auctioning off all of his personal effects including his photo albums because she “loves” him so much," she said. "Julien's Auctions shouldn’t be so proud, my father would’ve never wanted this. He wanted his things to go to his family especially his kids."

Kerri Kasem has been in a bitter tug of war with her father's wife since before his passing in June of 2014. The two fought over Kasem's end-of-life care as well as possession of his remains after his death.

Kerri Kasem has since founded 'Kasem Cares' and 'The Kasem Coalition,' both dedicated to increasing awareness of, and preventing elder abuse in the United States.
