Should Dogs Be Allowed Inside Michigan Breweries and Wineries?
For some reason, over the last few years, people have become more obsessed with taking their dogs with them everywhere they go.
Now, I’m not talking about service animals. I’m talking about everyday pets tagging along to places you wouldn’t normally expect, like grocery stores, home improvement stores, and, believe it or not, some people even sneak their little furry friends into movie theaters. I’m not kidding. I’ve seen it.
Michigan Bill Could Allow Dogs Inside Breweries and Wineries
Soon, you might start seeing dogs inside Michigan breweries and wineries, too. According to MLive, a new bill moving through the Legislature would give microbreweries, small wineries, and tasting rooms the option to allow dogs indoors. Right now, dogs are only allowed in outside areas like patios.
Do we really need to take our pets to the bar? Look, I love dogs, but I don't think we need to take them everywhere we go.

Rules If Dogs Are Allowed Indoors
Keep in mind, the change wouldn’t apply to places with a full kitchen, but it would apply to those that don’t cook food.
If the bill passes, there will be rules. Dogs won't be allowed to just run wild. They would have to stay on a leash, stay off the furniture, and not be left unattended. Businesses would also be responsible for keeping things clean and could make their own restrictions, like only allowing certain sizes or breeds.

The bottom line is this: no brewery or winery would be forced to allow dogs. The decision would be completely up to them.
As of right now, it's just a possibility.
