If you’ve seen the doorbell camera video going around from Sterling Heights, you already know why people are furious. Watching someone abuse a dog like that isn’t just upsetting, it’s straight-up infuriating. It’s one of those moments that makes your stomach drop and makes you wonder how someone with that much hate is even allowed to own an animal.

According to Fox 2 Detroit, police and Sterling Heights Animal Control stepped in and removed two dogs from the home over the weekend, including the one seen in the video below.

What Happened in the Sterling Heights Doorbell Video?

The video shows the dog being handled aggressively, pulled and struck with a leash, and even punched while trying to get away. The dog’s fear is obvious, and there’s nothing accidental or debatable about what’s happening. It’s abuse, plain and simple.

What really gets me is how this even came to light in the first place. Neighbors saw something on their doorbell camera that didn’t sit right, so they did the right thing and shared the video. That’s it. That’s the only reason those dogs aren’t still stuck in that situation. Let that sink in for a second.

Police say charges are coming, including animal abuse. Good. Abuse is abuse, and people who treat animals like this shouldn’t be allowed to own them. Period.

The only silver lining here is that those dogs are now safe, and someone stepped in before it got worse.
