A woman on Reddit is conflicted and upset after her boyfriend refused to unfriend a girl who viciously bullied her on social media.

"My boyfriend and I have been together for three years, and I recently saw that a girl who made my life miserable is friends with him on all social media. I asked him about it, and he said she was a friend of his (he's never brought her up before)," she wrote.

"I told him about all of the horrible things she used to message me (she would call me fat, ugly, wh--e, told me to [kill myself]) and that she is the reason I attempted the first time," she continued.

When she asked him to unfriend her, he replied, "Why? I don't like removing people."

"My feelings are hurt because I've never asked him to do this before and I feel like he values his friendship with her over his relationship to me. I'm not sure how to go about this any further," she concluded.

In the comments, Reddit users pleaded with her to leave her boyfriend.

"This is the clearest case of dump him I’ve ever seen. I could ask you what kind of partner he’s been or if it’s usual behavior from him to ignore your feelings, but it’s kind of irrelevant, really, because this incident is so egregious, it is enough," one person wrote.

"Seriously ... please dump him. What does she bring to his life that makes it so important for him to continue to have her on social media? Best case scenario is that they currently have no interaction but he’s not willing to deal with it being slightly awkward if he bumps into her in public. Which is BS and shows you how little he values you," another chimed in.

"If he won't delete someone that made you feel so bad you wanted to hurt yourself, then you will forever be begging for crumbs. Do yourself a favor and walk away. Don't waste years of your life. You can't change him. He doesn't love you," someone else commented.
