If you were up in Petoskey or Gaylord on May 29th and you visited a few specific businesses, there's a chance you had low-risk exposure to COVID-19.

According to WDIV, three businesses were visited by someone who tested positive for COVID-19 and was contagious during their visit.

  • Odawa Casino, Petoskey between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
  • Pine Squirrel Bar and Grill, Gaylord between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Paul’s Pub, Gaylord between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

If by chance you visited any of these locations on May 29th, you'll want to self-monitor and keep an eye out for symptoms including fever, cough, shortness of breath but also may include other symptoms such as fatigue, loss of taste and smell, and diarrhea.

Yesterday, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer lifted the stay-at-home order for the entire state, which means restaurants, and more will be able to finally reopen.

Even though she lifted the order it doesn't mean we're out of the woods just yet. Whitmore explained during her statement how important it will be to practice social distancing.

"We must all continue to be smart and practice social distancing, and encourage those who meet the criteria to get tested for COVID-19. If we all do our part, our goal is to announce a shift to phase five for the entire state prior to the fourth of July."

Honestly, I'm most looking forward to the day when wearing masks is no longer needed.
