How to Tip Your Michigan Amazon Driver Without Spending a Dime
When it comes to online shopping, we are smack dab in the middle of the busiest season. As those boxes pile up on porches across the country to make your holiday season merry & bright, Amazon drivers are racking up some serious hours on the road, and there's a perfect way to say thank you.
Amazon's "Thank My Driver" tip program is back in action this year, allowing you to show some love to those incredible delivery drivers who hustle tirelessly to bring your purchases right to your doorstep. Launched last year, Amazon has made saying thanks easy to do.
How Does the Amazon 'Thank My Driver' Work?
There are two quick easy ways to say "thank you" to your favorite Amazon driver this season:
- You can say "Alexa, thank my driver" to your Amazon Alexa device.
- You can search "thank my driver" on Amazon's website or the Amazon mobile shopping app.
The driver of your most recent delivery will be notified of the gratitude in the form of a $5 tip. The tip comes at NO cost to the customer at all Amazon said in a statement. I gave it a whirl last night and it works! My Alexa responded letting me know that my driver would receive the "thank you".
The program is available to all customers in the United States with an Alexa-enabled device, the Alexa app, or Amazon Shopping mobile app. The "tip" will go to the first 2 million thank-you’s received.
So, the next time you hear that knock on the door and see your Amazon package waiting for you, remember to take a moment to say "thank my driver" and make their day. It's not just a tip; it's a high-five, a round of applause, and a massive THANK YOU rolled into one!
