Gold Medalist Claressa Shields Arrives in Flint Today, Events Planned [VIDEO]

The events are both free and open to the public.

Two-time Olympic boxing gold medalist and Flint native Claressa Shields will step off the plane at Bishop today at around 4:15 PM, and the entire community is invited to welcome her home.

The event is put on by Powerade, will include a press conference, as well as photos and autographs.

If you can't make it tonight, a free event is taking place on Thursday at the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center at 7 PM. Fans are encouraged to bring cards and well-wishes for her.

Needless to say, Flint is excited to have her back home!
