
Richfield Township Crash Leaves Flint Woman Dead, 9-Year-Old Critical
A tragic crash in Richfield Township is under investigation after a Flint woman was killed and a 9-year-old girl was critically injured early Sunday morning.
Head-On Crash Early Sunday Morning Kills Flint Mother
Police say it happened around 2:30 a.m. on North State Road near Richfield Road when a 23-year-old man from Millington crossed the center line and slammed head-on into a Dodge Caravan carrying a Flint family of three.

According to ABC12, the 25-year-old woman driving the Caravan died at the scene. A 30-year-old man riding in the front passenger seat and a 9-year-old girl were both taken to Hurley Medical Center.

The girl remains in critical condition in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, while the man is being treated for injuries that are not considered life-threatening. The driver of the Ford Edge was also hospitalized with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Flint Family Suffers Devastating Loss After Head-On Collision
Investigators say alcohol is believed to have played a role in the crash, but the investigation remains ongoing. The Davison Area Reconstruction Team is leading the investigation with assistance from several local police, fire, and emergency agencies.

Anyone with information about the crash is encouraged to contact investigators as they continue working to determine exactly what led to the deadly collision.
