Ford Field Vaccine Clinic Has 7,500 Openings To Get Vaccinated This Week
Ford Field has been a massive vaccination clinic for the last month, and they have more than 7,000 openings between now and Monday.
The vaccination clinic at Ford Field has been run by The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. They announced Wednesday that they had a surplus of vaccines, and they would like to see them all used. According to the announcement, there are roughly 7,500 vaccines available for reservations right now.
In the beginning of the vaccine rollout, finding a vaccine could be challenging, but that's definitely not the case now. Even with the pause placed on the J & J vaccine, it still seems that vaccine locations have plenty of doses for everyone.
How do you get signed up for the Ford Field vaccine?
The sign up process is fairly simple if you would like to get the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine. There are three primary ways for you to get signed up right now.
- Text ENDCOVID to 75049
- Sign up online here
- Call the Covid-19 Hotline (888) 535-6136 and press 1
According to the MDHHS, the first 7,500 people that get registered will be guaranteed a spot by Monday April 26th.
What if I don't want to drive to Detroit to get the vaccine?
Even though there are plenty of vaccines available at Ford Field, it might not make sense for you to drive to Detroit to get one. The good news is that there are vaccines available all over the state, and an easy way to find them.
The Covid Vaccine Finder is a tool set up by the CDC that lets you find a vaccine clinic near you, and get signed up all in one place. You might have to wait about a week, but if the convenience of not driving far is important, this is the way to go.
The main thing is that vaccines are easier to find now, and there is no reason why you should not be getting your vaccine.
