The home of the Big House, Ann Arbor, has been named the most well-educated city in America, according to a study done by WalletHub. The home of the University of Michigan claimed the top spot for the 5th year in a row. Ann Arbor secured the bragging rights for checking off a few important boxes:

- It has the highest percentage of associate's degree holders or college-experienced adults
- It has the highest percentage of bachelor's degree holders
- It has the highest percentage of graduate or professional degree holders
- It has the 5th highest average university quality
Not to be outdone, another college town, East Lansing/ Lansing, found itself coming in at 29th on the study. Keeping with the college town vibe both Grand Rapids-Kentwood, home of Grand Valley State University, and Detroit-Warren-Dearborn, home of Wayne State and Detroit Mercy, claimed their spots at 70th & 78th respectively.
