A great honor to a Flint photographer, for a heartbreaking reason.

The Pulitzer Prize is a coveted prize for any news professional, and Jake May, the Flint Journal's Chief Photojournalist, has been awarded a finalist spot for his work on the Flint Water Crisis.

According to the Piltizer Prize website, May's work was awarded finalist status:

For striking, wonderfully conceived photographs from Flint’s contaminated-water crisis that told a challenging story in human terms.
