Flint Man’s Specialty Bike Stolen; Cash Reward Offered for Return
He was planning on riding the bike across the country next summer.
Anthony Harding lives near the intersection of Mackin and DuPont streets in Flint. Last night, his specialty bike was stolen from his garage, and he's offering a cash reward for its return.
Harding is a bicycle enthusiast and built this bike to ride from Florida to Michigan. He's also been a big part of Krystal Jo's Diner's annual bike giveaway. When Krystal Jo's owner, Tony Tucker, was injured last fall, Anthony reached out (the two men didn't know each other previously) and offered to help with the giveaway.
According to Tony, Anthony rode his bike 7.5 miles every day to his house to help with the bike giveaway while he was recovering. He does side jobs to get by and spends his free time volunteering.
He'd planned on riding this bike across the country about a year-and-a-half ago and then suffered from a massive heart attack. He's been focused on getting his health back in order and was making plans to head out on the open road on this bike starting in the spring...until now.
This is a bike that's pretty hard to miss so if you see it, please call the police at 810-237-6800.
