Flint, Grand Blanc Cruise Neighborhoods During Pandemic – The Good News
These educators clearly miss our kids and it shows.
Teachers from the Flint and Grand Blanc school districts organized parades or "cruises" through the neighborhoods of some of their students yesterday to brighten their spirits during "stay home, stay safe."
Teachers from Indian Hill Elementary in Grand Blanc drove around a handful of neighborhoods yesterday, waving hello to students and parents from a safe distance.
Staff from Kearsley Community Schools organized "The Greatest Show on Wheels" yesterday as well, driving through neighborhoods like Tommy Armour, Birdland, Pineview Estates and past the high school.
The teachers say that they want to keep that sense of "connection" with students right now while still obeying the social distancing, and it looked like it worked! Great job, teachers!
