New Flint Chick-fil-A Set to Honor Local Heroes & Feed Those in Need
Get ready Flint for a delicious dose of love and gratitude. The area's first Chick-fil-A is set to open its doors, but this won't be just any Grand Opening, but one that is all about community and giving back.
We told you recently that the highly anticipated opening of the popular fast-food giant in Flint Township was just around the corner. As of now, it looks like we are set to get our first "taste" when Chick-fil-A opens for business on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at its new location on Miller Road.
The new Chick-fil-A has local written all over it. Not only is it owned by Genesee County native Gref McKay, but it will open its doors by giving back to the local community right away.
According to reports, to celebrate the newly opened restaurant, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts by the local Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. The giving doesn't stop there either. The new Chick-fil-A will be recognizing 100 local heroes who are making an impact in the Flint area and will gift them free Chick-fil-A entrées for a full year.
The new Miller Road location will also be part of the Chick-fil-A Shared Table Program. The nationwide program donates surplus food to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks, and nonprofits that are in need.
It's obvious Chick-fil-A is more than just a restaurant and it's a brand with a heart for giving back set on forging lasting connections with our community.
