This Sunday (9/11) marks the 15 year anniversary of the terrorist attacks against the US. The Fenton Fire Department will commemorate the day by dedicating their newly-constructed 9/11 Memorial.

The dedication will take place Sunday at 1:30 pm on the south lawn of the fire station, located at 205 E. Caroline St. in Fenton.

The memorial features three different designs, paying tribute to the World Trade Center buildings, the Pentagon, and the field in Pennsylvania, all targeted in the attacks.

According to the Fenton Fire Department's Facebook page, the memorial will incorporate a piece of steel from the World Trade Center, donated to the city by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
