
Michigan’s Biggest Country Music Festival Takes a Two-Year Break
If your summer plans typically involve cowboy boots, camping, and three straight days of country music at Michigan International Speedway, you’ll need a backup plan again next year. For the second year in a row, the Faster Horses music festival won’t be returning to Michigan International Speedway.
What was initially described as a one-year pause is now stretching into at least two. After sitting out the 2025 season, festival organizers have confirmed Faster Horses will not be held at Michigan International Speedway in 2026, leaving the future of the long-running summer tradition in question.
MIS Confirms 2026 Festival Cancellation
Cambridge Township Clerk Rick Richardson tells Mlive the news was confirmed by MIS officials, who informed the township that the music festival had pulled the plug on the 2026 season and deferred comment to Live Nation, the event's promoter. Fans have already expressed disappointment online, with many noting that Faster Horses had become a must-attend summer event for music lovers across the state.
