For the Second Time a Concertgoer Has Died During the Faster Horses Festival
It was one of the biggest weekends of the summer in Michigan. The hugely popular Faster Horses Festival in Brooklyn, Michigan packed them in for the 3-day country music funfilled event. Sadly, for the second year in a row, a concertgoer was found dead.
According to reports, police discovered a man deceased at the Faster Horses campsite Monday morning, July 26. The man, a 48-year-old from White Lake, Michigan, was discovered at his campsite. Reports state he presumably died in his sleep.
Click on Detroit reports that officials have indicated that an autopsy has been scheduled for later this week. At this time this is an ongoing investigation and no other details are being provided at this time.
This is the second year in a row that someone has passed away during the yearly festival held at the Michigan International Speedway. Last year 3 men in their 20s died inside their travel trailer. It was determined all of the victims died from carbon monoxide poisoning. Also previous year Melissa Donna Havens from Croswell, Michigan was found dead. Later an autopsy and toxicology tests determined the 30-year-old died of natural causes.
The Faster Horses Festival, a three-day country music festival in Lenawee County, began on Friday, July 22. Headliners included Eric Church, Morgan Wallen, Tim McGraw, and Jake Owen to name a few. The festival draws approximately 40,000-plus daily to the event each year.
