I've been getting calls at the station for the last couple of weeks wondering when the "time change" is supposed to happen. Officially, the change from Daylight Savings Time to Standard Time happens at 2:00 am on Sunday, November 6th. At that point, you are to set your clocks back one hour. It is also recommended that you change the batteries in your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors at this time.
If you haven't changed the filter in your furnace lately, now would also be a good time to do that. It will help your furnace run more efficiently (saving you money) and safely (might keep your carbon monoxide detector from going off).

Once you complete these little chores, enjoy the extra hour this weekend. Go ahead, take a nap. That's what I plan to do.
